Agile vs Waterfall

What is Agile
Agile methodology is a technique which assists in the continuous development and testing of software development processes. Unlike the Waterfall model, development and research activities in this model are simultaneous. This process allows for more communication among clients, developers , managers and testers. This methodology is kind of new to most of the traditional company, this method is popular in software development company. The reason for that is because client usually find that hard to describe what they really need when creating something new to the market, they need to be able to test the concept and the idea. If the product isn’t able to have a smaller version, or be delivered in a separated stage, it takes too much time on testing something is uncertain, its risky for the company, so agile is the suitable mythology to mange that .

What is Waterfall
Methodology of the Waterfall model which is also known as the Liner Sequential Life Cycle Model. Waterfall Model followed in sequential order, so project development team moves only to the next development or testing phase if the previous step is successfully completed. Most people can imagine about this sequential order methodology, basically the product creation will be separated to different stage, but client is not able to see the product until the product is 100% finished. All the product testing has to be done after all features are included in the product.

Why Agile
It is client-focused operation. So, it ensures the client is constantly involved in each stage. Agile teams are highly motivated and self-organized so the production projects are likely to yield a better outcome. Agile method of software development ensures that the product quality is preserved The process is focused entirely on gradual improvement. Hence, the dev team and also the client are able to track what exactly task has been done  and what hasn't not been done. So that no feature shouldn’t be missing in this process but development becomes flexible.

Why Waterfall
This is one of the most scalable product management methodology. Due to the complex nature, each phase has requirements are very well understood procedure. It works well for smaller projects where requirements can be easily understood. This methodology allows faster output to the client Method and consequences are well known. Highly adaptable method for change team. This development methodology is useful for the management of dependencies.
